There are multiple portfolio companies under a P/E firm. Not all of those are home runs. When a P/E firm doesn’t want to keep their interest in one of their portfolio companies, we can come in and bring that company to a higher acquisition level and many times have a buyer that will be interested in that company. Or, we may acquire the company if it fits without our engagements.
Additionally, as we are working with companies that are below the start-line for a P/E firm’s metrics, we will grow that company and turn them into a home run for the P/E firm and they can take the company once we grow it to the start line. He has owned and operated dozens of businesses, with significant experience in both buying and selling businesses. Our CEO and CO-Founder, Steve Maegdlin, has owned and operated multiple businesses and his team has been helping Fortune 1000 companies grow for decades.
For those companies in challenging situations, CAP has a Restructuring Division that can help chart a course out of their situation. Our hope is to find a way forward to an Optimal exit. However, there are circumstances where the company needs to wind down and we are skilled at implementing those wind-downs.
